Magemouse- A solo storytelling game

~Story~ 

You are a magemouse, a clever little magic-using mouse from a small village near a long abandoned human mage's tower. Your village depends on brave adventurers to explore the crumbling mage tower and scavenge bits of magic filled crystals that have been forgotten and lost with time. 

You've been given a precious item enchanted with a sneakshield spell that will keep you hidden from the dangerous animals and experiments that roam the halls, but the shield only carries enough charge to keep you safe for six rooms at a time. Fortunately, you can rely on the friendly outposts marked on your map for a place to rest and recharge your shield as many times as you need to. (Not to mention the food and gossip they provide!)

To play, you will need:

• Two six sided dice in two different colors
• A pack of standard playing cards, jokers removed
• Optional: a notebook or notepad file to journal your adventures

~Gameplay~

To build the wizard's tower for your magemouse to explore, you'll lay playing cards out in a grid, with each card representing a room in the tower. You'll turn the cards face up as you explore and discover what's inside each room.

Heart cards mean friendly faces welcome you in, clubs are nothing but garbage and clutter, spades reveal fierce dangers, and diamond cards mean you've found a piece of the treasure that you came searching for.  You can leave it at that and use your imagination to decide what each room holds, or you can refer to the list of prompts written for every card to find out what exactly is inside. 

There are also lists of suggested equipment and environments for the landscape, to help you keep each magemouse's adventure different from the last!

Magemouse is based on the Carta system.
